Honor continues to work on increasing the battery capacities in its phones, as new leaks indicate that the company is testing a huge battery that may have a capacity of about 11,000 mAh in an upcoming phone.

This comes after the launch of phones such as the Honor Win and Win RT with 10,000 mAh batteries, then the Honor Power2 phone, which provided a slightly larger battery with a capacity of 10,080 mAh.

According to the leaker Digital Chat Station, the company has begun trial production of a new battery with a nominal capacity of 10,690 mAh and a power of 40.41 Wh. The typical capacity of this battery is expected to reach 11,000 mAh or more.

The leak did not reveal which phone will have this battery, but it is likely to appear in the next generation of the Power series, especially since the current Honor Power2 phone uses a 10,080 mAh Si/C battery that provides more than 20 hours of video playback.

The Power2 supports 80W fast wired charging, along with 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to be used as a power bank for other devices. Rumors also indicate that the upcoming Honor X80 phone may also come with a 10,000 mAh battery.
