Within the framework of the directives of Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Zakaria, Head of the City Authority sunriseBy intensifying monitoring campaigns on markets to preserve the health of citizens, and with the follow-up of Engineer Ramadan, Vice President of the Development Agency, a massive campaign was implemented within the city with the participation of the departments of Environment, Veterinary Medicine, Supply, and the Food Safety Authority.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of a report for one of the famous hypers, and the seizure of about 127 kg of meat, after it was proven that its natural properties had changed and that it was unfit for human consumption.
Meat not fit for consumption
A report was also issued for a butcher shop, and about 73 kg of meat unfit for consumption was seized, as a result of a change in its natural properties.
The head of the Shorouk City Authority confirmed the continuation of daily and surprise monitoring campaigns throughout the city, stressing that there will be no tolerance for any violations that affect the health of citizens.
He also stressed taking immediate and deterrent legal measures against violators, while referring the incidents to the competent authorities, to ensure that such violations are not repeated, and that full coordination continues between the concerned authorities to tighten control over the markets and ensure the safety of the food on offer.
