Apple earlier this week confirmed some initial details about its first launch event in 2026, which it called the “Special Apple Experience.”
However, the event has not yet appeared on the news page or the company’s official website, while a number of sources, including Mark Gurman, indicated its launch on March 4 at 14:00 UTC time in New York.
Initially, reports expected the unveiling of more than six new devices, including Studio Display 2, new iPads, along with updated versions of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, later developments changed the picture. Both Gorman and John Gruber suggested that the event would be less noisy and widespread than expected.
Instead of a huge traditional conference, Apple is expected to announce its new products through successive press releases extending between March 2 and 4. After that, a “Special Apple Experience” event will be dedicated to making the new devices available to selected media before their official launch on the market.
According to reports, announcements may begin on March 2 with the unveiling of the iPhone 17e to replace the iPhone 16e. The next day, the company may announce new iPad devices, with MacBook releases distributed on separate days as well.
In a related context, the leaker Instant Digital indicated on the Weibo platform that the colors of the teaser reflect the expected color options for the upcoming economical MacBook.
Accordingly, the first MacBook with an Apple A-series chip may appear in yellow, green and blue colors, to differentiate it from the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro categories.
