A recent report issued by prominent leaker “Digital Chat Station” hinted that the “Xiaomi 18” series will come with 200-megapixel cameras, and it seems that the same will apply to some extent to the “Redmi K100” series, which will eventually be rebranded as “Poco F9” phones in the global market.
The “Xiaomi 18” series is expected to bring many upgrades, and as “Digital Chat Station” recently reported, 200-megapixel cameras will be one of them, and it seems that the company will offer the same upgrade to the upcoming “Redmi K100” series. More specifically, “Smart Pikachu” shared in a new report that Xiaomi is working to make the upcoming “Redmi K100” series enjoy a better position among other advanced devices, and this upcoming series is expected to offer three phones initially: “K100,” “K100 Pro,” and “K100 Pro Max.”
Of the three, only the Redmi K100 Pro Max is likely to feature a 200-megapixel camera, however, it is unclear whether this will be a periscope lens or a primary sensor. For reference, the “Redmi K90 Pro Max” phone (currently priced at $670.55 for the 12/256GB version on TradingShenzhen), which was launched as the “Poco F8 Ultra” in the global market, has a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, and it is also the first Redmi phone to feature a periscope telephoto lens, which is a prominent feature in the smartphone.
Returning to the “Redmi K100” series, the “Pro Max” variant of the lineup is expected to be renamed to “Poco F9 Ultra,” and this phone is also likely to feature performance-focused hardware, including next-generation flagship processors from “Qualcomm” and a large battery. The likely timeline for the launch of the “Redmi K100” lineup in China is September 2026, and more details about the series may emerge in the coming days.
