Xiaomi announces the date of its next global event, scheduled to be held in Barcelona, where it is preparing to launch a group of new accessories in addition to presenting its current flagship phone to global markets.

Xiaomi Tag tops the list of the most anticipated products, as the company positions it as an economic competitor to tracking devices such as Apple AirTag, Moto Tag, and Pebblebee Clip 5. A copy of the device had previously appeared by mistake on the Xiaomi France website, before the company officially confirmed the approaching date of its launch.

Official accounts reveal that the tracker will be launched simultaneously with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra on February 28, 2026 in Barcelona. The announcement did not include extensive details, except for noting that the device is lightweight, not exceeding 10 grams.

The leaked list from Xiaomi France showed a number of specifications, as the device will rely on a CR2032 battery, which is the same used in Apple AirTag and some other tracking devices.

It will also come with a thickness of 7.2 mm, and according to leaker Roland Quandt, it will support both the Google Find Hub network and the Apple Find My service.

On the other hand, the first version will not support UWB technology, unlike the Apple AirTag, but reports indicate Xiaomi’s intention to launch a version that supports UWB later.

The leaked list also revealed the expected price, which will be 17.99 euros in the European Union, equivalent to about $21. The company is expected to confirm details of the price and global availability during the upcoming official event.
