On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with a number of European Union and NATO leaders in the Belgian capital, Brussels, to discuss developments in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and the course of diplomatic efforts.

Zelensky explained, in a tweet posted on his official account on the “X” platform, that the meeting brought him together with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President Antonio Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, noting that the meeting was “good and fruitful.”

He noted that he gave European leaders a comprehensive presentation on the situation on the diplomatic track, adding that the discussions covered in detail joint work with American partners on steps to strengthen the peace path, security guarantees, and increase Ukraine’s resilience.

According to Zelensky, the meeting also included discussion of the “Path to Peace” initiative and compensation proposals, in addition to coordinating positions on all files related to the crisis.

The Ukrainian President concluded his speech by emphasizing the continuation of joint work in a “coordinated and constructive manner,” thanking the European Union and NATO for their continued support for Ukraine.
