A source within the Zamalek club confirmed, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that Zamalek has been betting since the start of the tournament on Hossam Abdel Majeed’s participation primarily and his presentation of distinguished levels, in order to optimally market him on the external level, in preparation for obtaining a strong professional offer during the coming period.
The source explained that the Zamalek administration sees the player as one of the most important solutions to overcome the financial crisis that the club is going through, and seeks to exploit his international brilliance to attract the interest of foreign clubs, especially European and Arab clubs, which are closely following the tournament in search of strengthening the defense line.
He added that Hossam Abdel Majeed participated in three matches mainly, in addition to another match as a substitute, and he succeeded in appearing at a consistent and distinguished level in all the matches, which made him the focus of attention of a number of clubs looking for young defenders with international experience.
