The First Circuit considers terrorism held at its headquarters Badr CourtSoon, headed by Counselor Mohamed Saeed El-Sherbiny, the trial session of 71 defendants in Case No. 38 of 2023 State Security Felonies, known in the media as the Assembly Cell, will take place.

The referral order stated that the defendants joined a terrorist group from 2013 until March 19, 2023, as they affiliated themselves with the terrorist organization ISIS, which calls for changing the regime by force, committing terrorist acts targeting individuals and public facilities, disrupting the work of the constitution and the law, and preventing state institutions from performing their duties, in addition to assaulting personal and public freedoms.

The referral order indicated that a number of defendants, specifically from the first to the third, from the fifth to the tenth, from the fourteenth to the seventeenth, from the nineteenth to the twenty-third, in addition to the twenty-sixth, thirty-sixth, and from the thirty-third to thirty-fifth, were involved in committing terrorist financing crimes, by collecting, receiving, possessing, and providing money, documents, headquarters, and food to support the terrorist group in question.
