A crime that prevailed in a state of mystery and confusion after it was committed inside Al-Hussein Hospital, when a veiled woman kidnapped a baby girl from inside the hospital shortly after her birth, after claiming that she was a relative and received her from the nursing staff immediately after the birth.

Detectives emptied the cameras in the hospital, and it turned out that the accused took them to crowded streets. They were able to solve the mystery of the crime and arrest the accused.
Al-Hussein University Hospital issued a statement in which it affirmed its sincere sympathy with the baby’s family in this humanitarian circumstance, and its constant keenness to deal with all patients and patients as they are objects of care and concern within the framework of the hospital’s humanitarian role.
Al-Hussein Hospital confirmed that the woman in question had given birth to her baby in the obstetrics and gynecology department, and the baby was officially handed over to her mother through the specialized nursing staff, in accordance with the established administrative procedures, and with an official signature indicating receipt of the baby in the approved books of the department, and thus the responsibility for caring for the baby girl was transferred to her family in accordance with the regulatory controls.
The hospital explained in a statement that during the mother’s presence in the department, when she was accompanied by her family and under observation to complete the discharge procedures, knowing that her mother and the patient’s sister were accompanying her, there was one of the women who was covering her face and was present in the place as part of accompanying one of the patients, and provided some aspects of assistance to the mother as she was one of the companions inside the hospital.
The hospital added that, according to what the mother herself reported, she gave the child in good faith to that woman to help calm her down, but the woman left the place after that, which resulted in the incident under investigation.
She explained that as soon as the incident was discovered, immediate measures were taken, as the hospital security informed the competent security authorities and the Public Prosecution urgently, and an examination of the surveillance cameras inside the hospital was immediately initiated, in coordination with the competent authorities, to follow up on the course of the incident.
The hospital added that the number of daily visitors to the reception departments and outpatient clinics is about 6,000 daily, in addition to the 1,400 patients detained in the internal departments, in addition to intensive care beds, nurseries, and other specialized units.
She continued: The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department also witnesses approximately 80 to 120 births daily, between natural births and caesarean sections, in addition to cases of other medical interventions and procedures such as curettage and emptying, and all cases are dealt with according to an organized and approved work system and administrative and medical procedures.
