Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, extended his sincere congratulations to Counselor Hisham Badawi, on the occasion of gaining the confidence of the people’s representatives and being elected as Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives for the third legislative term. Farouk also congratulated Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar and Dr. Mohamed Al-Wahsh for winning the position of Deputy Speaker of the House.
Farouk stressed that the selection of Counselor Hisham Badawi for this high position reflects the great appreciation for his honorable national history, stressing that the next stage requires concerted efforts between the government and Parliament to confront the current economic challenges.
The Minister of Agriculture indicated his aspiration for more fruitful cooperation with the House of Representatives and the Ministry of Agriculture, especially with regard to the interests of the Egyptian farmer and supporting investment in the agricultural sector, which contributes to achieving more food security.
Farouk expressed his confidence that the new parliamentary session will witness a legislative breakthrough that will contribute to advancing the national economy, wishing the Speaker of the Council, his two deputies, and all members of Parliament success in performing their national secretariat towards the great Egyptian people, under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
