Water was cut off from the city of Raqqa in northern Syria on Sunday, after the pipes feeding the city were bombed.

The Information Directorate in Raqqa announced that the water outage came “after the SDF bombed the main water pipes feeding the city, which extend along the old bridge.”

For its part, the Syrian Al-Ekhbariya channel reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces renewed their targeting of the city of Deir ez-Zor with mortar shells.

On Sunday, the Syrian army announced its control of the strategic city of Tabqa and the Euphrates Dam after expelling Kurdish fighters.

The Syrian Army’s Operations Authority explained that the latter took control of the strategic city of Tabqa in the north, and the Euphrates Dam after expelling the Kurdish forces from those areas.

The Government Information Directorate in Deir ez-Zor also reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) targeted residential neighborhoods in the village of Taybah, east of Deir ez-Zor, with a drone bomb, and the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel reported that mortar shelling targeted residential neighborhoods in the city of Deir ez-Zor.

The Syrian army had also announced its control of Tabqa military airport and expelled Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants from it.

The Syrian Army Operations Authority explained that its forces imposed control over the Mansoura Dam (formerly the Baath Dam), and the towns of Ratla and Al-Hamam in the Raqqa countryside, making them less than 5 kilometers away from the western entrance to the city of Raqqa.
