American media reported, citing police, that two people were killed and eight people were injured by bullets, on Wednesday evening, inside a Latter-day Saints Mormon church in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The police explained that according to preliminary information, a fight broke out in the church parking lot during a funeral ceremony, before the events developed into gunfire inside the place.
The police added that a massive manhunt was launched in search of the suspects, without any arrests being announced yet, while investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
