The Egyptian National Railway Authority, in cooperation with the Central Administration for Student Activities at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, organized a community awareness seminar in one of the schools affiliated with the Benha Educational Administration, in the presence of a number of education leaders in Qalyubia Governorate, representatives of the Egyptian Church, and groups of students and faculty members.

The symposium focused on enhancing awareness of the importance of maintaining public facilities, and highlighting some of the negative behaviors that threaten the security and safety of citizens and the railway facility, such as breaking into chutes while they are closed, establishing illegal crossings across the railway line, throwing waste on the tracks, riding trains in unsafe places, and throwing stones at trains, which endanger the safety of passengers and workers and cause serious damage that affects the efficiency of the service provided to the passenger public.

This comes within the framework of joint cooperation efforts between the Ministry of Transport, represented by the National Railway Authority of Egypt, the Ministries of Education, Technical Education, Endowments, Youth, and Sports, the Al-Azhar Foundation, the Egyptian Church, and the State Information Service, with the aim of building a generation aware of the importance of contributing to preserving the state’s public facilities as a basic pillar for achieving sustainable development.
