The Benha Center Prosecution Office in Qalyubia Governorate decided to file Case No. 1188 of 2026, the Benha Center Administrative Officer, regarding the incident of assaulting a young man and forcing him to wear women’s clothing in the village of Meet Assem in Benha, to the Attorney General of the North Benha Prosecution Office, in preparation for preparing a memorandum to be presented to the Tanta Court of Appeal, to be included in the nearest session before the competent chamber of the Benha Criminal Court.
In this context, Cairo 24 is unique in publishing the referral order for the accused in Case No. 1188 of 2026, Benha District Felony, in the case known in the media as the “Dead Asem” incident in Benha.
Referral order for the accused in the Mit Asim incident
The referral order stated that the investigating authorities ordered the referral of 1 – Mahmoud Muhammad Tawfiq Al-Sayyed, 41 years old, a production supervisor at a plastics factory, 2 – Ahmed, 33 years old, a production technician, 3 – Muhammad Al-Sayyed Fikri Al-Demerdash, 17 years old, a restaurant worker, 4 – Abdel Rahman, 21 years old, a worker, 5 – Rasha Muhammad Tawfiq, 42 years old, a housewife,
6 – Jamila Ibrahim Al-Desouki Abu Al-Qatouh, 64 years old, a housewife, because on February 11, 2026, in the Benha Center district, they displayed force and waved violence and threats towards the victim, “Islam Muhammad” and his family, where they went to his residence after confirming his presence, and stormed him during the day, in full view of his family and his clan, and dressed him in clothes of disgrace and disgrace – women’s clothing – stabbing him in the face. His manhood, and they roamed the ground with him under threat, with the intention of terrorizing, intimidating, and harming him. These actions were likely to terrorize the victim, his family, and others, disturb their security and tranquility, and expose their lives and safety to danger if there were more than two people in possession of bladed weapons and tools.
The referral order added that this felony was coupled with another felony, which was that, at the same time and place, they kidnapped the victim by force and threat, and carried him to their residence away from the sight of his family, since they were more than two people, and some of them were in possession of bladed weapons and tools, while the fifth and sixth defendants participated by agreement and assistance.
The referral order explained that they forcefully assaulted the victim’s honor, after one of them pulled a white weapon in his face, and others tied him up and stripped him of his clothes under threat, and committed indecent acts as indicated in the investigations.
