The artist Zeina said that the name of the series Roses and Chocolate does not reflect the true meaning of roses and chocolate, as inside the work it reflects an atmosphere that appears to be love and chocolate as a romantic story, but in reality it has another tragic side.
Zeina continued during an interview with the Al-Sawra program presented by media personality Lamis Al-Hadidi on Al-Nahar TV: The topic is very difficult, and the writer and screenwriter, Mohamed Rajaa, wrote an integrated topic, wrote the scenario and events in an integrated manner, and the time frame and jumps of events in an unparalleled manner.
She continued: Muhammad Raja wrote a work in a chronological sequence and an integrated scenario, as if it was a symphony, and about the character of Marwa and the extent of her love for her, she said: I loved her very much and it was difficult for me, because the father and mother are supposed to be the ones who take care of their children and decide how they will be in society, and when there is a shortcoming, the children are affected and remain weak, or the mother does not focus with them in raising her and a girl emerges deprived of her father, she appears weak and appears strong in her life to face society, but she is weak. She is helpless and needs someone to comfort her, because the one who raises her is absent, whether the mother or the father, and therefore she is a fragile personality.
Zeina added to the journalist Lamees Al-Hadidi’s question about the character of Marwa in the series “Wards and Chocolate,” which she addressed to her during her hosting, saying: How did you love Marwa when she was a character who kidnapped a husband from his wife and lived a toxic relationship until the end and tried to exploit him? Then Zeina replied, saying: This is a defeat, and I am not with the one who does this at all, but the one who does this is a defeat, because this person is harmful, and just as he harmed the one before her, he will also harm her because he is a harmful person by nature.
She also stated that the description of “Toxic” is not enough to judge this relationship, saying: This is a harmful person who is not an eye, and we cannot call him a man because he lacks manhood, and the description of Toxic is an accurate description of the amount of lack of morals that he suffers from.
Zeina added about the concept of what a man means to her: My father was a man, and my children will grow up to be men. Everyone who respects himself and others is self-sacrificing and kind, and does not carry a woman’s life, but preserves them and takes care of the idea of companionship and affection. Everyone who is merciful and kind is a man, and there are many good people, and a man’s entire family remains men.
The artist Zeina confirmed that kindness in education brings out men to society, saying: Kindness does not make people pampered, as people think. It brings out men. Kindness does not mean pampering. When we teach our children kindness in raising them, when he grows up, he will be nostalgic for his mother and his wife later.
She continued: Kindness and heart are not weakness, and whoever thinks that kindness and heart are weakness is stupid. He does not even think about friendship relationships. When a friend is affectionate, you will find that she is seriously afraid for you.
