The Ministry said on its Telegram channel today: In continuation of the qualitative security operation carried out in the city of Moadamiya al-Sham, and as part of the continuing efforts to pursue the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS, the specialized units in the Damascus Countryside Governorate carried out a precise security operation in the town of al-Buwayda, based on confirmed intelligence information and careful field monitoring.
The ministry added that the operation resulted in the neutralization of the terrorist Muhammad Shehadeh, known as Abu Omar Shaddad, who is considered one of the prominent leaders of ISIS in Syria and holds the position of governor of Houran, which posed a direct threat to the security of the region and the safety of its people.
The Ministry indicated that this operation confirms the effectiveness of joint coordination between national security agencies and international partners, and the continuation of directing pre-emptive strikes against terrorist organizations, which contributes to enhancing security and stability and preventing any potential threat to civil peace.
