  2. Oh God, I ask You for eternal bliss that does not change or fade away, and I ask You by Your glory to save me from Hell, and forgive me my sin, my ignorance, and my extravagance in my affairs, and what You know better than me, and bless me in what You have provided for me, and forgive my parents and have mercy on them as they raised me when I was young, and grant my soul its piety and purification. You are better than those who purify it, You are its guardian and master.

A supplication for the third night of Ramadan

Oh God, deliver us to Ramadan, deliver it to us, accept it from us until it ends, and you have forgiven us, had mercy on us, and pardoned us. Whoever fasts and prays in prayer out of faith and seeking reward will be free of his sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him.

Oh God, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, wealth, and winning Paradise and salvation from Hell.

Oh God, forgive those who have nothing but supplication, for You do what You will, O You whose name is medicine, whose remembrance is healing, and whose obedience is wealth.

O God, O Remover of stumbling blocks, O Judge of needs, fulfill my needs, relieve my distress, have mercy on me, do not afflict me, and provide for me from where I do not expect.

Oh God, I ask you to forgive me, have mercy on me, and make me satisfied with your oath, content, and humble in all circumstances. Oh God, I ask you the question of one whose poverty is severe, and whose need is relieved by you in times of adversity, and whose desire is great in what you have.

Oh God, just as we reached the month of Sha`ban, we have reached Ramadan, and may you accept us in Sha`ban, Ramadan, and the rest of the year. Oh God, make all our deeds pure, and from those who say they act, and from those who say, they are sincere, and from those who are sincere, so it is accepted from them. Oh God, make us recite the Qur’an and walk by the Qur’an.

A supplication for the third night of Ramadan

O God, O strong facilitator, O softener of iron, O fulfiller of threats, O He who every day is in a new matter, take me out of the throat of narrowness to the widest path, with You I push what I cannot bear, and there is no power nor strength except in God, the Most High, the Great.

Oh God, give me good tidings of goodness as You gave good tidings to Jacob and Joseph, and give me good tidings of joy as You gave Zechariah good tidings to Yahya.

Oh God, cover my nakedness and accept my stumble, and protect me from before me and behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me and below me, and do not make me among the heedless.

Oh God, I seek Your forgiveness for every sin I have committed in the white of the day and the black of the night, in public, in privacy, in secret, and in public, while you are looking at me.

Oh God, give our souls strength and purify them. You are better than those who purify them. You are their guardian and master. Oh God, we seek refuge in You from knowledge that is not useful, from a heart that is not humble, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from an invocation that is not answered. O God, be pleased with us and our land, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

Oh God, protect me from what matters to me and what I do not care about. Oh God, provide me with piety, forgive me my sins, and direct me to goodness wherever I turn. Oh God, ease me into ease, and spare me hardship.

– Oh God, make for me from everything that worries me and distresses me, both in the affairs of this world and the afterlife, a relief and a way out, and provide for me from where I do not expect, and forgive me my sins, and establish Your hope in my heart, and cut it off from anyone but You, so that I do not hope for anyone but You, O One who is satisfied with all of His creation, and no one with His creation is satisfied with Him, O One, who has no one and whose hope is cut off except from You.

– Oh God, I ask you by your mercy that encompasses everything, by your power by which you subjugated everything and to which everything submitted and everything was humbled to it, by your might by which you conquered everything, by your majesty without which nothing can stand, by your greatness that filled the pillars of everything, by your authority that exalted everything, by your face that remains after the annihilation of everything, by your names that conquered the pillars of everything, by your knowledge that surrounded everything, and by the light of your face that Everything was illuminated for him, O light, O holy one, O first of the first and last of the last.

O God, subject all of Your creation to me as You subjected the sea to our master Moses, peace be upon him, and soften their hearts for me as iron softened for David, peace be upon him. They do not speak except with Your permission. Their forelocks are in Your grip, and their hearts are in Your hands. You dispose of them as You wish. O Converter of hearts, make my heart steadfast upon Your religion. O Knower of the unseen, You have extinguished their anger. There is no god but God, and you have summoned their love.

There is no god but You, the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Inward, in You I have put my trust, and You are the Lord of the Great Throne.”

“O God, praise be to You, abundant praise, good and blessed. O God, praise be to You as it befits the majesty of Your face and the greatness of Your power. O God, praise be to You according to the number of Your creation, the satisfaction of Yourself, the weight of Your throne, and the ink of Your words. O God, praise be to You until You are satisfied, and praise be to You for being satisfied.”
