The size of the supply of ducks and turkeys in the markets
Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed explained, in his statements to Cairo 24, that there is a large supply of ducks and turkeys in the markets, which has contributed to the stability of prices and not being affected by the movement in demand as the month of Ramadan approaches.
Duck prices today
He pointed out that duck prices today are stable and are as follows:
- Peking duck, priced at 27 pounds
- Muscovy costs 95 pounds
- Muller ducks cost 85 pounds
Are we seeing price increases during Ramadan?
The head of the Poultry Division confirmed that the markets are witnessing a state of stability as a result of the availability of the required quantities of ducks and turkeys, with continued follow-up to ensure that no sudden increases occur during the coming period.
According to Al-Sayed, the prices of poultry and eggs witnessed a state of stability with the opening of trading today, Monday, January 19, 2026, in markets and shops, without recording noticeable changes compared to the past days.
Poultry prices today
The price of a kilo of white poultry on the stock exchange was about 66 pounds, and it was sold to consumers in the markets at prices ranging between 70 and 80 pounds per kilo.
The price of a kilo of Sasso poultry reached between 92 and 93 pounds on the stock exchange, while the selling price to the consumer ranged between 100 and 110 pounds per kilo.
As for local poultry, the price per kilogram in various markets and stores ranged between 100 and 120 pounds, according to different regions.
