The Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Cairo, within the framework of the Ministry of Culture’s directives aimed at strengthening bridges of communication with various countries of the world, is holding a concert by the international music composer and pianist of Lebanese origin. Barakat said that he was happy to visit Egypt and hold a concert in Cairo, the ancient, inspiring city that combines history and creativity, stressing the richness of Egyptian culture and the distinguished international reputation enjoyed by the Opera House. He added that the program includes a selection of his own compositions that he wrote over decades and represent a true expression of the highest human feelings and are unique in a unique style that blends classical, contemporary and cinematic music, in addition to official anthems he wrote for prestigious international institutions and global cultural bodies, including Aviation, Light and Shadow, and Autumn in… Quebec, Cedar Trees of Lebanon, A Night of Love in Paris, An Evening in New York, the official anthem of the National Order of Quebec titled Becoming.

In 2021, he was awarded the title of Knight of the National Order of Quebec in recognition of his outstanding artistic contributions and his wide influence around the world.
