The Official Gazette publishes Petroleum’s decision to modify the route of the Talkha-Shabshir gas pipeline in Gharbia

The first article of the decision stipulated that the gas line’s route would start from a point on the line feeding the delta’s homes, “Talkha-Shabshir,” with a diameter of 28 inches, directly at the village of Mahalla Khalaf, and then extend south for a distance of approximately 420 meters, to intersect with an asphalt road and the “Mahalla-Mansoura” railway line. The path then heads southwest for a distance of about 900 metres, where a bluff room with dimensions of 45 meters x 25 metres, with fences up to 4 meters high, is created inside agricultural land.

The line continues its path westward for a distance of 540 metres, intersecting again with an asphalt road and the “Mahalla-Mansoura” railway line, as well as the Sahel Canal, reaching the end point on the path of the “Talkha-Shabshir” natural gas line directly west of the village of Khalaf, with a total length of 1.86 kilometers. The decision explained that the entire path is located within agricultural lands within the Gharbia Governorate, according to the path shown in the explanatory memorandum and the attached cadastral map.
