Launched a university LuxorActivities of the Fourth International Conference on Chemistry (2026) at the Faculty of Science, which is held in Luxor and Aswan governorates under the slogan “Chemistry… principles and applications towards a clean industry.”

The conference comes under the patronage of Dr. Sabreen Abdel Jalil, President of the University, and with broad participation from elite chemistry scientists and professors from various Egyptian and Arab universities.

Dr. Al-Saadi Al-Ghoul, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, opened the activities as Vice President of the University, in the presence of academic leaders and researchers.

The pivotal role of chemistry

In his opening speech, Al-Ghoul stressed the pivotal role of chemistry in supporting sustainable development paths and understanding cultural heritage through analysis of archaeological materials.

He stressed the need to integrate modern technological developments and artificial intelligence applications to enhance the country’s direction towards clean industry.

The conference will be held under a joint chairmanship that includes Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Luxor University, Dr. Fathi Abu Al-Nour, Vice Dean of Sciences in Mansoura, and Dr. Najwa Hussein, Head of the Chemistry Department at Luxor University, and under the supervision of Dr. Alaa El-Din Attia, President of the Egyptian Chemistry Fellowship Association.

The first scientific session witnessed two main lectures: The first discussed “Green Chemistry and Sustainability” and was presented by Dr. Najwa Hussein, while the second discussed “Chemistry and Life” and was presented by Dr. Morsi Abu Youssef, the honorary president of the conference.

The sessions reviewed the latest trends in laboratory analysis and the role of chemistry in serving society. The conference is scheduled to conclude with the issuance of practical recommendations to link scientific research with the industrial sector.
