Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, held an extensive meeting with the sheikhs, elders, and youth of the Bedouins of the city of Dahab, in the presence of members of the House of Representatives and a number of executive leaders in the governorate, within the framework of the state’s keenness to support Communities Bedouinism and achieving comprehensive development in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, strengthening direct communication channels with citizens, identifying their demands and service and development needs, and working to find practical solutions for them.
During the meeting, the Governor of South Sinai reviewed a package of demands that were discussed and approved for implementation, including the development of the internal road network in the city of Dahab, the expansion of social housing projects, and the allocation of 20% of housing units for youth, which contributes to achieving societal stability and improving the standard of living for the city’s people.
He directed Governor By forming a committee from the governorate’s parking department, in coordination with the sheikhs and leaders of the city of Dahab, to study and develop urgent solutions to the problem of service vehicles within the city, ensuring the regularity of transportation movement, facilitating the movement of citizens, and eliminating any obstacles they face in this regard.
Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak confirmed the opening of licenses for picnic establishments in the city of Dahab, provided that full compliance with the conditions, specifications and regulating controls is in order to preserve the safety of citizens and visitors. He pointed to the work to develop the “Blue Hole” area in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, in order to achieve a balance between the requirements of tourism development and the preservation of the environment and natural resources, in addition to his full support for requests to reduce the legalization prices of family housing.
The people of the city of Dahab expressed their thanks and appreciation to the political leadership and the governor of South Sinai, for the genuine interest they saw in their demands and the effective response to their issues, stressing that the meeting reflects the state’s keenness to support Bedouin communities and achieve comprehensive development.
Members of the House of Representatives praised the efforts made in the file of legalizing land status, because of its great importance in achieving legal stability for citizens and supporting development and investment efforts in the governorate, stressing the importance of continuing coordination with the specific committees of the House of Representatives and the relevant ministries to provide more services and projects that directly benefit citizens in various Bedouin cities.





The meeting concluded with Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak congratulating the people of the city of Dahab on the occasion of the night of the middle of Shaban, praying to God to return it to Egypt and its people with more security.
