Dr. Engineer Hossam Abdel opened Al-Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia, three new exhibitions in a series Welcome Ramadan to the cities of Al-Khanka, the West Shubra Al-Kheima neighborhood, and Al-Qanater Al-Khairiya, within the framework of the governorate’s strategy to expand the establishment of outlets selling food commodities at reduced prices, and in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to reduce the burdens on citizens, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, and to confront any forms of exaggeration or commercial exploitation.

The governor stressed that the state places the provision of basic goods and controlling markets at its top priorities, stressing that the exhibitions held offer high-quality products at reduced and fixed prices that are directly lower than their counterparts in the markets, which contributes to achieving social protection and ensuring price stability.
The tour included the opening of the Al-Khanka City Exhibition, then inspecting the West Shubra Al-Kheima Neighborhood Exhibition, and concluded with the opening of the Al-Qanater Al-Khairia City Exhibition, where the governor was keen to follow up on the regularity of work and ensure the availability of various basic commodities, from rice, oil, sugar and legumes to meat and poultry, with full adherence to the announced price lists.
The governor was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Fayoumi, member of the House of Representatives and head of the Qalyubia Chamber of Commerce, Representative Hatem Al-Shami, member of the House of Representatives, Representative Hazem Tawfiq, member of the House of Representatives, Representative Samir Bayoumi, member of the House of Representatives, and Dr. Tamer Salah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, along with a number of executive and security leaders in the governorate.
10 exhibitions at the governorate level
The Governor of Qalyubia explained that the opening of the three exhibitions today brings the total number of “Welcome Ramadan” exhibitions that have been operated so far to 10 exhibitions at the governorate level, after the opening of 7 exhibitions during the last period, stressing that this expansion comes as a result of full cooperation and coordination between the governorate, the Supply Directorate and the Chamber of Commerce, to ensure the continuity of pumping goods in appropriate quantities throughout the holy month.
The governor concluded his statements by emphasizing the continued intensification of daily monitoring campaigns on markets and exhibitions, and not allowing any monopolistic practices, while expanding the establishment of more outlets to cover all cities and centers of the governorate, in a way that achieves market stability and ensures the easy access of basic goods to citizens.
