The government exempts the Food Safety Authority from the rules for secondments and leave to work abroad

The decision stipulated the exception of the National Food Safety Authority from the provisions of Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 180 of 2023, regulating secondments and unpaid leave for workers outside the country.

The decision will be effective from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

The decision was issued after reviewing the Constitution, Civil Service Law No. 81 of 2016, and National Food Safety Authority Law No. 1 of 2017, and based on what was presented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Food Safety Authority.

The Official Gazette published a new decision by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, stipulating the establishment of a university institution called the International Capital Foundation for Education, with the aim of hosting two branches of Queen Margaret and Edinburgh Napier Universities within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

According to the decision, the two university branches aim to contribute to the development of the higher education and scientific research system in Egypt, and to strengthen academic and scientific ties between Egyptian universities and their counterparts in the country in which the main headquarters of each university is located, in addition to providing global higher education opportunities within the country while preserving the national identity of Egyptian students. The decision also requires the branches of the two universities to strengthen academic cooperation links with Egyptian universities.
