Barak Ravid, an Israeli political analyst, said: Ukraine Today, I requested clarifications from Israel regarding the docking of a ship believed to belong to the Russian Shadow Fleet in the port of Haifa, carrying a shipment of wheat said to be coming from Ukrainian territory controlled by Russia, according to a senior Ukrainian official and an informed source who spoke to Ravid.

The declared policy of the Israeli government

Ravid explained that this incident could constitute a serious violation of the American and international sanctions imposed on Russia and its shadow fleet, that is, foreign ships that cooperate with Russia and carry and export its products, and if the data are confirmed, it contradicts the declared policy of the Israeli government.

Ravid pointed out that Kiev is demanding that Israel seize the Russian ship, which it confirms is subject to international sanctions, and prevent it from leaving the port.

A senior Ukrainian official reported that Ukrainian intelligence monitored the ship’s preparations to sail from the Black Sea loaded with grains originating from areas controlled by Russia during the war.
