Hanafi said: “The level of the second team was bad in the Arab Cup tournament, and I do not know the reasons. It is not right for Egypt’s second team in the Arab Cup tournament to be a guest of honor.”
He added: “I see that covering the absence of Pyramids players from the second team has become a sign of mistakes, and I consider that the second team’s apology for participating in the Arab Cup was better than this bad level that we showed.”
Hanafi explained: “The lack of coordination between Helmy Toulan and Hossam Hassan harmed the appearance of the second Egyptian national team in the Arab Cup tournament.”
He concluded: “The Egyptian national team has experience, but football is not about names.”
