CAF officials have set the dates for Al-Ahly’s two matches against its Tunisian counterpart, Esperance, in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.

The draw for the African Champions League pitted Al-Ahly’s first football team against Esperance of Tunisia in the quarter-finals of the African Championship for the current season.

According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the date of the Al-Ahly match against Esperance of Tunisia in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, the first leg will be held in Tunisia between the 13th and 14th of March 2026, while the return match will be held at the Cairo International Stadium between the 20th and 21st of the same month.

Al-Ahly is scheduled to face its counterpart, the winner of the match between Sun Downs of South Africa and Stade Mali in the semi-finals of the African Championship, without Al-Ahly skipping the quarter-finals of the African Championship.

Earlier, the first football team of Al-Ahly Club clinched its qualification to the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, after the Red Team topped the second group of the African Championship with 10 points, gained in 6 matches played by the Red Team, at the expense of the Royal Army, which qualified second behind Al-Ahmar, and also faced a fiery confrontation against Pyramids.
