A number of graduates of the Class of 2015 applied to the College of Education Kafr El-Sheikh Universityfiled an official complaint, demanding intervention to bring them justice after what they described as a clear violation of the decision to limit the first batches.
Kafr El-Sheikh’s top education students 2015 are crying out for help: The college violates the decision of the top students in the batch and transfers them to the top departments.
The students, including Hala Haider, one of the top students in 2015 at the Faculty of Education, Kafrelsheikh University, claimed that they were among the top twenty list at the batch level, but the college counted them as the top students in departments instead of the top class, which contradicts Resolution No. 3021 of 2021, which regulates the mechanism for identifying the top graduates.
They pointed out that all faculties of Kafrelsheikh University apply the first-in-class system, with the exception of the College of Education, which continued from the 2015 batch until 2025 to apply the first-in-class system, even though the previous batches were treated with the first-in-class system.
Those affected confirmed that this measure caused the loss of their moral and employment rights, especially in appointments and assignments, demanding that they be equal with their colleagues in the rest of the university’s faculties, and that the decision be applied fairly.
The complaint was filed by:
Heba Majed Hosni Menissi
Hind Ibrahim Abdel Jalil
Asmaa Abdullah Muhammad
Muhammad Al-Ikhtiyar
Shaher Yassin Maghazi Yassin
Hala Haider Saad Ali
Hajar Bassiouni Abdel Fattah Negm
Iman Mahmoud Abdel Basset Abbas
Marwa Ibrahim Hassan Hassan Al-Jundi
Iman Ashraf Saber Issa
Ahmed Ezzat Muhammad Hegazy
They demanded that the incident be quickly investigated, and that the necessary measures be taken to correct their situation, just like the rest of the university’s colleges.
During the past few days, public colleges began counting the names of the top 20 batches over the past 10 years, in response to a letter addressed by the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Public Universities to the university presidents regarding counting the data of the first graduates.
This came after the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by its Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, addressed the presidents of public universities regarding listing the data of those holding master’s and doctoral degrees, in addition to the first graduates.
The letter explained that this comes in light of what was received from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, regarding the two briefing requests submitted regarding counting these categories, in implementation of Presidential Resolution No. 1974 of 2021, amended by Resolution No. 3021 of 2021, regarding counting master’s and doctoral holders and top graduates.
