On Wednesday morning, the Alam Al-Rum area in Matrouh Governorate witnessed a sudden power outage, which sparked a state of dissatisfaction among the residents, especially as the outage continued for long hours without an official announcement explaining the reasons or the date of the return of service.
A number of residents of the area confirmed that the electricity was cut off since the early hours of this morning, which caused the disruption of some daily activities, affecting shops and services related to electricity, in addition to the suffering of citizens in light of their basic daily needs.
Power outage in the Alam Al-Rum area
The people demanded the immediate intervention of the concerned authorities and the electricity company to explain the reasons for the outage and work to restore power as soon as possible, especially if the matter was related to maintenance work or an emergency technical malfunction.
For its part, the electricity company has not yet issued an official statement regarding the details of the outage or the expected duration for repairing the fault.
