Major General Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, accompanied by Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for National Projects, and Dr. Ishaq Jamil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Governorate, went to the 6th of October Central Hospital, to follow up on the ongoing field work to raise efficiency and development, with the aim of accelerating achievement and overcoming any obstacles.

The visit came today, Thursday, in implementation of the assignments of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to Dr. Sherif Mustafa, following his recent visit to the hospital.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry, explained that the governor and the assistant minister followed the final preparations for the dialysis annex building with a capacity of 24 machines, and were keen to listen to the engineers and workers to provide all the necessary needs, while ensuring the continued provision of medical services during the work. The governor also directed the acceleration of the necessary licensing procedures.
The hospital serves a wide geographical scope, including the cities of 6th of October, New October, October Gardens, and industrial areas, with a population of 2.5 million people, and its capacity is 104 beds, including 31 inpatient beds, 16 intensive care beds, 9 child care beds, 12 nurseries, 5 intermediate care beds, 3 recovery beds, and 3 main operating rooms.
Performance indicators in the first half of 2025 also recorded high rates, as outpatient clinics received between 18,000 and 21,000 patients per month on average, and reception and emergency clinics received between 11,000 and 15,000 patients, with about 300 surgical operations performed per month.
