The city of Dahab will witness a power outage tomorrow, Saturday, due to regular maintenance on the main electricity transformers in several areas of the city.
Saturday: Power outage for 4 hours in several areas of Dahab
The Presidency of the City of Dahab announced in a statement on its Facebook page that tomorrow, Saturday, many of the city’s neighborhoods will witness a power outage, for periodic maintenance.
The statement said: Gentlemen, the people of the city of Dahab, must take the necessary measures to cut off the power supply in the Army Buildings area, the transmission area, the meteorological area, and the gasoline area.
The statement confirmed that the power outage will last for 4 hours, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., for periodic maintenance of the network’s transformers and distributors.
The local unit of the city of Dahab called on citizens in those areas to disconnect electrical appliances and not operate them immediately after the power returns, and to wait until the electrical current stabilizes so that the appliances are not damaged as a result of the instability.
She also appealed to bakery and business owners to provide for their needs during the period of power outage.
This comes in accordance with the directives and instructions of those responsible for the Canal Electricity Company, regarding the necessity of regular maintenance of the electrical transformers in all cities of the governorate, sequentially on a weekly basis, in order to preserve the life of the electrical transformers and protect them from damage.
