Company acceleration Administrative Capital For urban development, the pace of preparations to operate the first phase of the Capital Park central gardens project, in a step aimed at providing a wide green outlet for citizens, and supporting the cultural image of the new capital as an integrated modern city.
Capital Park is the largest central parks project in Egypt and the Middle East, as it extends over an area of approximately one thousand acres with a length of about 10 kilometers, and consists of three interconnected planning sectors, each of which has a special architectural and visual character that reflects a distinct urban identity, with a direct connection to its surrounding areas.
The project comes within a package of major projects aimed at promoting the concept of sustainable cities, as it presents an advanced model of urban parks that combine entertainment, education and culture, in a way that meets the needs of different age and social groups.
Capital Park also includes a variety of activities and components, including future investment areas, a road and pedestrian network, service buildings, and water spaces, as well as areas designated for desert and semi-desert agriculture, and distinctive crops that give the project a unique aesthetic and environmental character.
The scope of the Central Park also includes the Central Business District and its extension, external investment spaces, main roads, Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque, and various services, becoming an integrated center that combines nature and urban development.
The Green River Project represents one of the most important projects of the first phase in the New Capital. It aims to establish the second largest international park, to be a major axis of development in the city, and a public outlet for residents of the various neighborhoods. It will be held in several stages to form the largest central park complex in the city.
The three sectors of the central gardens
- The first sector is 375 acres long, and its general shape reflects the natural environment and is in harmony with natural factors. It includes more than 250 acres of open areas for picnicking, in addition to the Islamic garden, the covered garden, the social club, the spa, the lakes, and the restaurant.
- The second sector extends over a length of 306 acres and will be a major center for cultural and entertainment activities. It includes more than 240 acres of open areas for picnicking, in addition to the Art Park, the Heritage Park, the entertainment area, the celebration square, and the open theatre.
- The third sector extends over an area of 309 acres and reflects the privacy of public parks and is linked to the central business district (CBD). It contains 250 acres of open areas for hiking, in addition to an educational park for children, an open library, the central square, the restaurant area, and the recreational sports club.
