Regarding today’s weather conditions, the Meteorological Authority expected that today, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, cold weather will prevail during the day in most parts of the country, and warm weather will prevail in South Upper Egypt, while very cold weather will prevail at night in all parts of the country. Frost is also expected to form on crops in northern Upper Egypt, central Sinai, and the Western Desert.
Expectations indicate that moderate rain, which may be heavy and thundery at times, will fall in areas of Alexandria, northern Lower Egypt, and the northeastern coasts at intermittent intervals.
Rain chances extend to Matrouh Governorate at a light to moderate level, while it will be light in areas of southern Lower Egypt and the canal cities, with weak chances of scattered rain in Greater Cairo.
Wind activity begins in areas west of Greater Cairo and gradually extends to include the rest of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Canal Cities, North Upper Egypt, Sinai, and the Red Sea Governorate. Wind speed ranges between 40 and 55 km/h, which requires caution while driving or in open areas.
