The Qena Supply Directorate launched a large ration campaign at the Abu Tasht Center, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and the directives of Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Assistant Minister for the Control of Petroleum Products, Precious Metals, and Valuable Stones, and the instructions of Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, to intensify monitoring campaigns on the markets and follow up on the petroleum products trading system.



42 thousand liters of smuggled diesel were seized in a large ration campaign in Qena
The campaign was headed by Hassan Al-Qat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qena, and in coordination with the local unit of the center and city of Abu Tasht, headed by Mr. Sayed Temsah, and resulted in the seizure of 42 thousand liters of smuggled diesel that was sold outside the gas station in violation of the laws and decisions regulating the circulation of petroleum products.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qena confirmed that the campaign comes within the framework of the directives of the Minister of Supply to intensify control over the markets and to firmly confront attempts at smuggling and tampering with petroleum products, in order to preserve the support and ensure that it reaches those who deserve it, noting that the necessary legal measures have been taken regarding the incident, and the competent investigation authorities have been notified.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Assistant Minister for the Control of Petroleum Products, Precious Metals, and Valuable Stones, explained that the Ministry continues to implement expanded monitoring campaigns at the republic level, in coordination with the directorates and executive agencies, to control any attempts at illicit trade in petroleum materials.
He added that the state will not tolerate any violations affecting energy security or citizens’ rights, stressing the continuation of daily campaigns to monitor the fuel trading system and control markets.
