The Iranian Foreign Minister confirmed that his country is conducting indirect negotiations with the United States limited to the nuclear file only, stressing that the Iranian ballistic missile program is not negotiable now or in the future.
Iran-United States negotiations
The minister explained, in statements at the Al Jazeera Forum in Doha, that uranium enrichment represents a definite right for Iran and must continue, adding that Washington was forced to return to the negotiating table after its previous attempts to destroy Iranian capabilities through military attacks failed.
He pointed out that Israel and the United States were not able to eliminate Iran’s nuclear capabilities by bombing, stressing that his country will continue to defend its nuclear rights, and that any dialogue with Washington will remain limited to this file without expanding to other issues.
The Iranian minister added that what is happening in the region is not a state of defense, but rather an attempt to make Israel feel dominated over others, and that Israel’s expansion in the region requires weakening the rest of the countries in the region and giving Israel the freedom to use force, and that if the Gaza issue is resolved through expulsion, occupation and destruction, the West Bank will be next on this path.
