In episode 19 of the program “State of recitationThe Moroccan reader Sheikh Omar Al-Qazzabri, the imam of the Grand Mosque of the Imam Hassan II Mosque in Morocco, expressed his deep influence with Egypt and its readers, as he indicated that he wrote an article entitled “The Egypt in My Mind,” which is a quote from a poem by the late Egyptian poet Ahmed Rami.

In part of his article, Al-Qazzabri said: “Unleash my pen, and I summon what the humility of my statement obeys and the revelation of love that flows from my tongue,” expressing his deep love for Egypt, which he described as the beloved that he lived his life in love with.

“The State of Recitation” discovers Qur’anic talents

The “State of Recitation” program aims to discover and honor new talents in Tajweed and recitation of the Holy Quran. The program is shown on Al-Hayat, CBC and Al-Nas channels, in addition to the Watch It platform, every Friday and Saturday of every week.

14 thousand contestants in the preliminary qualifiers

More than 14,000 contestants from various governorates of Egypt participated in the program, and the program’s judging committee includes an elite group of scholars and religious figures, including Sheikh Hassan Abdel Nabi, the representative of the Holy Qur’an Review Committee at Al-Azhar, and Dr. Taha Abdel Wahhab, an expert on voices and maqamat, in addition to the preacher Mustafa Hosni and the reciter Sheikh Taha Al-Numani.

The total prizes for the program amount to 3.5 million pounds, with the two winners in the recitation and intonation branches receiving one million pounds each, in addition to the opportunity to record the Holy Qur’an in their own voice and broadcast it on the Misr Qur’an Kareem channel, in addition to the honor of leading the worshipers in Tarawih prayers at the Imam Hussein Mosque next Ramadan.
