The competent investigation authorities in Qalyoub decided to refer the accused of killing Haitham Samir, the international racing champion, to the Criminal Court.
In the same context, the competent authorities assigned a security force to take the accused of ending the life of Haitham Samir, the international racing champion, to the crime scene to represent his crime. They also ordered an urgent investigation into the incident, and also a forensic report on the causes of death as a result of which the victim died.
The Ministry of Interior issued a statement regarding the incident, which stated: The security services in the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of what was reported to the security services in the Qalyubia Security Directorate on the 11th of this month from a hospital regarding the death of (the owner of a company and the owner of a car service center – residing in Cairo) as a result of being hit by a gunshot. Upon questioning the aforementioned accomplice, he admitted that when they went to a plot of land owned by the “deceased” located in the Qalyoub Police Station, a verbal altercation occurred between the “victim” and “the son of the private guard.” “For the same piece of land” due to the deceased’s desire to end his father’s work as a guard, an altercation developed during which the guard’s son fired a bullet from a birdshot he was in possession of, which led to his death.
