Lebanese media revealed that the envoy of US President Donald TrumpMorgan Ortagus will arrive at Beirut Airport, on a visit to Lebanon, today, Wednesday.
According to the Lebanese media, Ortagus will only participate in the Mechanics Committee meeting in Naqoura and will then leave Lebanese territory without meeting any political official in Lebanon.
Ortagus’s visit to Lebanon
Ortagus will go on a visit to Jordan, and will return to Lebanon again on Friday, to meet with Lebanese officials.
Earlier, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz met with US envoy Morgan Ortagus in light of the Israeli threats to Lebanon.
After the meeting, Katz said: I had a useful discussion with Ortagus regarding the situation in Lebanon and told her that Hezbollah is the one violating Lebanese sovereignty and that disarming it is extremely important.
