Xiaomi has now officially confirmed that it will launch its advanced tablet series globally. Arriving later this month, the Xiaomi iPad 8 appears to feature the same hardware globally as its Chinese counterpart.
We are less than a week away from Xiaomi’s next international launch event. The event is scheduled to take place on February 28, and will fall between Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event and Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona.
Initially, Xiaomi only teased the introduction of the Xiaomi 17 series. Until then, the company decided not to clarify whether this also included the Leica version in addition to the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
With five days to go, Xiaomi has now confirmed that the iPad 8 will join the Xiaomi 17 series. For now, the company has only clarified that the iPad 8 will make its international debut on February 28. However, past performance suggests that Xiaomi will replace the iPad 7 Pro later this week as well, which is currently available for $474 on Amazon.
Taking a look at Xiaomi’s event page, the global version of the iPad 8 will offer all the core features of its Chinese counterparts. For example, the company confirmed that the iPad 8 will be available globally with a fourth-generation Snapdragon 8S chipset and a 9,200 mAh battery with support for Fox Pen Pro and Fox Keyboard accessories.
