The Israeli army spokesman announced on Thursday that dozens of Israeli civilians stormed the border from the occupied territories towards the Gaza Strip, before forces intervened in the area and returned them into Israel.
The spokesman explained, according to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, that these civilians arrived at the ruins of the Kfar Darom settlement, located hundreds of meters from the border, where they entered the site in their vehicles and raised the Israeli flag there.
He added that dozens of civilians later tried to cross the security fence at another point, and some of them were able to penetrate the barrier and reach the obstacle area, but the Israeli army and police forces who rushed to the place prevented them from entering the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, Palestinian media reported a short while ago that there were martyrs and wounded in an Israeli bombing of Gaza City, in clear violation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Reports stated that the Israeli bombing targeted the vicinity of the Samer Junction in the center of Gaza City, while Israeli Army Radio announced that a vehicle was targeted in the center of Gaza City.
This comes as the Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement.
On Wednesday morning, the Israeli occupation forces began carrying out demolition operations in the town of Biddu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
Yesterday, the occupation army demolished the family home of citizen Nader Al-Khawaja, which consists of 4 floors and houses 20 Palestinians, in the village of Deir Qadis, west of Ramallah in the West Bank.
