The Public Prosecution is launching extensive investigations into those accused of distributing money and advertising cards to voters in order to vote for a specific candidate in the elections. House of Representatives.

The prosecution requested that the security services investigate the incident and its circumstances and obtain a video clip of the accused at the moment the violation was committed.

The security services at the Ministry of Interior succeeded in uncovering the circumstances of what was circulated on social media regarding a video clip showing a group of people gathering a number of citizens inside a scrap warehouse in an area close to an electoral district in Imbaba in Giza Governorate.

Through investigations, it was found that these people were distributing electoral propaganda cards to citizens, in exchange for receiving sums of money, with the aim of urging them to vote for specific candidates.

The examination efforts resulted in identifying and arresting the perpetrators of the incident, who were 4 people. They were found in possession of 4 mobile phones, a tablet, and a quantity of cards with pictures of the candidates printed on them.
