The star Mohamed Ramadan spoke about his own musical identity, saying: My music is a new type, similar to what Bob Marley introduced with the invention of (reggaeton), which he was able to develop and adopt globally. Therefore, it is a color that represents my personality and resembles me. It is natural for someone who presents a work like the series (The Legend) to sing (Number One), and I have never separated the actor from the singer.
He explained during radio statements: I presented many songs that have nothing to do with the idea of the self, such as Habibi, Forget, Ma’ak Lisbah, and Staying Up on the Nile.
Regarding the release of his first song, Number One, which Mohamed Ramadan described as being a risk, he said: The song was a risk, as if I had put the actor at a gambling table. If I won, I would win two things, and if I lost, the actor would lose. But I was not afraid, because only every adventurer wins pleasures. I studied the step well, and I was hesitant even after the video clip ended, and I preferred a month of hesitation about whether to release it or not.
He pointed out that he took a strategy in releasing the Number One video clip, explaining: I decided to release it on the day of the match between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the World Cup, and it was logical that if the song did not succeed, no one would pay attention to it due to the preoccupation with the match, but if it achieved success amidst this momentum, the success would be 4 times, and in fact the song was able to attract the audience, stressing that success has 3 steps, likening it to pregnancy, saying: Success goes through 3 important steps, and here it is like (pregnancy), as there is a person who may have symptoms of success. But in the end, it is a false success, and there is a success that may be aborted because its owner did not maintain it.
He continued, saying: The most important thing is to succeed in a project, then prove this success, which is similar to (confirming the pregnancy), so that the child comes into the world, and a (birth certificate) is issued to him, so no one can deny his existence, so succeed, then prove your success, then confirm it.
He added: The song “Number One” worked for me, then “The King,” then “Mafia,” and these are the 3 steps. Then I presented the song “Ensay,” recalling the scenes of his first concert in Cairo.
Although his credit was only 3 songs, he said: I announced the concert and there was a huge turnout from the audience, and after that concert I did not perform in this place again because of the crowding in the streets and the gatherings that occurred during that period.
He explained: After the song Number One, the nickname was given to me in many countries, including Saudi Arabia, where my concerts are announced with this nickname.
Regarding the constant controversy surrounding the nickname Number One, the star Mohamed Ramadan explained: I did not call myself (Number One), or issue a media statement saying that my name is that, but rather the public is the one who adopted this nickname, and throughout my life I have not asked anyone to call me by a specific nickname. Some people get upset, and I began to notice that Egyptian stars who had nicknames began to borrow from their nicknames, and a big star I would hear when someone called him by his old nickname would squeak.
Regarding the concert, he said: I told my team that I only had 3 songs, so I decided to enter a camp for 3 days inside my office, to produce 14 songs to present during the concert, including: (Money). The writer expressed that money is not everything, but I told him that you are a liar because I want money, which is everything and you can travel with it, and we made a song called Virus, Boom, and Mafia, and in fact I presented 18 songs during the concert.
He also talked about a situation that happened after the party ended with a friend of his, saying: I do not forget a friend who told me that he and his wife attended the party because he thought it would be funny, but they were surprised by a dazzling state and an integrated artistic display that they had never seen before.
