A 7-month-old infant was killed by drowning in a water can in his home in the Tahta Police Department, north of the governorate. SohagIn a tragic incident that took place in the city of Tahta, the body was transferred to Tahta General Hospital at the disposal of the competent investigation authorities.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, received a notification from the Tahta Police Department’s warden, stating that a report had been received that an infant had drowned inside his family’s home in the department’s district.
Immediately, the security services moved to the scene of the incident, and an examination revealed that a child named Muhammad M.A., 7 months old, had drowned inside a water jerry can in the house. The body was exhumed and transported to the hospital, where it was deposited in the hospital morgue at the disposal of the investigating authorities.
The necessary report was prepared, and the investigating authorities were notified to initiate investigations and uncover the circumstances of the incident.
