The leadership of the Ministry of Housing closely followed the landslide accident that occurred a short while ago in the Narges Villas area in New Cairo, as part of the Ministry’s keenness to follow up on the situation and ensure speedy dealing with it.

An official source within the New Urban Communities Authority revealed that there is a field movement taking place within minutes from the authority’s leaders to the site of the accident to follow up on developments on the ground, and to ensure that all necessary insurance measures are taken.
The source added that the technical and emergency teams of the New Cairo Authority are currently working to secure the landing area and examine the utility networks located below the area, until the repair work is completed and the site is restored to normal.
The sources confirmed that all concerned authorities are following the situation moment by moment until the causes of the decline are fully addressed and movement within the region returns in a safe manner.
