The city of Zefta in Gharbia Governorate witnessed a tragic incident, where a 20-year-old young man was killed after being severely beaten and stabbed with a knife by 3 people and a woman. He was transferred to Zefta General Hospital in an attempt to hide the crime, but he breathed his last upon his arrival.
A young man was killed in Gharbia
Major General Osama Nasr, Director of Gharbia Security, had received a notification from the Chief of the Zefta Police Department, stating that a report had been received from Zefta General Hospital about the arrival of a young man named H. He died from injuries sustained as a result of an assault and stab wound with a knife.
Immediately, a security force from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Zefta Center Department, led by Major Muhammad Al-Dhahabi, Chief of Investigations of the Zefta Police Department, moved to the hospital and the location of the incident.
3 people and a woman were behind the incident
Investigations conducted by criminal investigation officers in the Zefta Center Department, Zefta Investigation Department, revealed the circumstances of the crime, as the perpetrators of the incident were identified and arrested, who were three people and a woman, between the ages of 18 and 30 years, all of whom reside in one of the villages of the Zefta Center. The weapon used in the crime was also seized.
Confronting the accused, they admitted to committing the incident, explaining that the victim had an illicit relationship with the wife of one of the accused, so they lured him and took him to an empty plot of agricultural land next to a water drain, where they beat him with the intention of revenge, before one of them stabbed him with a knife. They then transferred him to Zefta General Hospital in an attempt to save him and hide the crime, but he died as a result of his injury, so they fled on the run after learning of his death.
The young man’s body was transferred to the morgue of Zefta General Hospital at the disposal of the Public Prosecution, which initiated the investigation, conducted an inspection of the crime scene and represented the incident.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the Public Prosecution was notified, which ordered a forensic physician to be assigned to determine the cause of death, and to authorize burial after the completion of legal procedures. It also decided to detain the four defendants for 4 days pending investigations.
