He sacked the North Korean leader Kim Jong UnDeputy Prime Minister Yang Seung-ho resigned from his post, attributing his decision to the latter’s incompetence, which caused chaos and economic damage during the implementation of state projects.

The dismissal decision came during a ceremony marking the completion of the first phase of modernization of the Ryonsong Mechanical Industries Complex, according to what was reported by the Korean Central News Agency.

In his speech during the ceremony, the North Korean leader said that the first phase of modernization faced “unnecessary, contrived chaos caused by unprofessional, rude, and incompetent officials,” which caused tangible economic damage.

He pointed out that some officials were not ready to lead the process of regulating the industry and its technical rehabilitation at the country level, calling for “to stop relying on people who have long been accustomed to defeatism, lack of responsibility, and negativity.”

Following these words, Kim issued an immediate decision at the same location, relieving Deputy Prime Minister Yang Seung-ho of his duties, likening him to a “goat hitched to a cart.” However, the North Korean leader made clear that he did not consider the sacked official’s actions to be “anti-party actions,” but rather classified them as an “accidental error in selecting cadres.”

Kim Jong Un stressed that North Korea’s current reality, which seeks wealth and prosperity, requires “true pioneers and fighters” whose actions will bring the country closer to a bright future.

He called on all leading officials to adopt targeted plans and scientific methodologies to build a “modern and advanced economy that guarantees the future of the country” during the current generation.

The Korean Central News Agency reported that participants in the ceremony declared their full support for Kim Jong Un’s speech. After that, Prime Minister Pak Taesung cut the opening ribbon, marking the end of construction work, while the country’s leader inspected the “Reonseong” complex, praising the steps taken by the institution to strengthen the foundations of the independent economy.
