Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the United States bears legal and international responsibility for what he described as terrorist interventions and operations that targeted Iran during the imposed 12-day war, stressing that these actions represent a clear violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Araqchi said that the public support provided by Washington for the violence that occurred during the recent demonstrations in the country, in addition to the threat to use force and interference in Iran’s internal affairs, requires accountability, stressing that the principle of non-interference and the prohibition of the threat or use of force cannot be bypassed without consequences.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry began documenting all violations and took legal measures

He added that the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs began documenting all violations, and took the necessary legal measures to file lawsuits before the competent judicial authorities locally and internationally, stressing that his country will not allow support for terrorism to become an unpunished practice in the international system, and that the United States “must be held accountable for its actions.”
