The village of Mashala, affiliated with the Santa Center in Gharbia Governorate, witnessed a poignant incident, where a person named Khaled Salah Al-Sharqawi died while performing the Maghrib prayer as an imam among the worshipers inside a mosque.

According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased suddenly fell during prayer, specifically between kneeling and prostrating, amid a state of shock and sadness among the worshipers, who tried to help him, but he immediately breathed his last.
The people of the village of Mashala in the district of the Santa Center confirmed that the deceased had a good character and a good reputation among the people of the village, as he was known for his piety and commitment, which increased the state of sadness that fell over everyone after his death.
The funeral of the deceased follows Friday prayers
The funeral of the deceased’s body is scheduled after Friday prayers from the Sidi Muhammad Al-Khudari Mosque in the village of Meshala in the district of Al-Santa Center, amid wide participation from the people to bid him farewell to his final resting place.
The people of the village called on everyone to pray for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, and that God may cover him with His vast mercy, and grant his family patience and solace.
