The local unit of the center and city of Samasta launched a massive campaign to remove occupancies and issue environmental reports, in implementation of the mandates of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, and within the framework of the governorate’s ongoing efforts to improve the level of services provided to citizens and preserve the cultural and environmental appearance.
Under the supervision of Major General Osama Younis, head of the Samasta Center and City, and in coordination with the Utilities Police, the campaign resulted in the removal of 277 occupancy cases from the city’s streets, including encroachments by street vendors and fixed and mobile occupancy, thus contributing to facilitating traffic and achieving traffic fluidity for citizens.
An expanded inspection campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Water Bodies Police, which resulted in the issuance of 7 reports of environmental violations, with the necessary legal measures being taken against violators, within the framework of tightening control over compliance with environmental requirements and standards.
The local unit also continued its efforts in the file of confronting infringements, and a case of infringement by illegal construction on agricultural land in the village of Shantour was removed, in addition to the removal of a number of cases of infringement on the lands of the State of Irrigation, with legal measures being taken against violators to prevent the recurrence of infringements.
In the field of public hygiene, the local unit intensified daily cleaning work, removing waste from the vicinity of schools and government agencies, and collecting garbage from village councils, in addition to supplying more than 70 tons of waste to the organic fertilizer factory, in support of the efforts made to preserve the environment and improve the level of cleanliness in the various villages and areas of the center.
