The Governorate’s Supply Directorate launched sudden, expanded monitoring campaigns in a number of supply departments, with the aim of tightening control over markets and protecting the rights of citizens within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and Qalyubia Governorate.

Supply departments: Shebin El-Qanater, Qalyoub, Toukh, East Shubra El-Kheima District, Banha, and El-Qanater El-Khairia participated in the campaigns, to visit municipal bakeries, commercial activities, stove depots, and wholesale branches, to ensure compliance with food decisions and laws.

And it resulted Efforts A number of (25) reports were issued against municipal bakeries for violations that varied between producing underweight bread, not conforming to specifications, not having a usable scale, not clean kneading tools, and not delivering cash registers to citizens, in addition to other violations.
(9) reports were also issued against catering operators and association outlets due to their closure during official working hours without prior permission, in addition to (10) misdemeanor reports against commercial activities for not announcing prices.

In a related context, the Kafr Shukr Supply Department went over the catering activities to ensure the availability of basic goods and the absence of any shortages, while following up on the disbursement of support to ensure that it reaches its beneficiaries without obstacles.

The Directorate confirmed the continuation of monitoring campaigns on a daily basis to control markets and achieve food discipline in the governorate.
